Mark Ruffalo will star in a live table read of Kenneth Lonergan’s Hold on to Me Darling in aid of the Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theatre in Los Angeles.

The play centres on country and western start Strings McCrane who, on learning of his mother’s death “begins questioning the meaning of his life and what it all adds up to. Determined to abandon his celebrity and his career, he moves back to his hometown in Tennessee. It doesn’t go well.”

The table read will take place tomorrow (11 October 2020) and also stars Gretchen Mol and Michael Cera.
