Jennifer was born in Palm Beach, Florida and attended The New School where she gained a BFA and Brooklyn College where she gained an MFA. She started her career at the age of 14 as a model. Her work took her all over the world, including spending a summer in Japan at the age of 15, about which she later wrote a book, “Queen of the Toyko Ballroom”. Jennifer worked for several magazines including Seventeen, Elle and Vogue, with cover shoots for Sassy and Maxim, and appeared in campaigns for Pepe Jenas, Dannon and Ford amongst others.

Jennifer progressed from modelling into acting, studying in New York before she relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career on the big screen. Her first role was a guest appearance in SeaQuest 2032 in 1994, and she went on to appear in a TV Movie Our Son, the Matchmaker before landing the role as Heidi Barrie in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. After this she continued to work, landing the role of Sarah Webber in General Hospital which she played for a year.

In 1999, Jennifer returned to genre with recurring roles in Xena: Warrior Princess, and a regular role opposite Gina Torres in Cleopatra 2525.

Although still occasionally acting, Jennifer now spends her time as a writer and investigative journalist, focusing on child labour, human trafficking and corruption within the fashion industry and has been featured in several magazines as well as spending time as a contributor for Interview magazine, contributing editor for One Teen Story and researcher, reporter and producer for the Brain Ross Unit of ABC News.
