Musetta was born in South Africa to a ballet teacher and made her stage debut, as a dancer herself, at the age of four. Musetta went on to qualify as a ballet teacher herself. After taking a BA degree in Communications and Psychology, Musetta started her work in TV as anchor host for a South African music show. It was through this job that she met her American husband and jetted off to Hollywood. Here she continued her career by appearing in various music videos for artists including Rod Stewart, Tina Turner and Elton John. She also appeared on stage and it was her performance in the critically acclaimed original South African play, Soweto’s Burning, that got her noticed and enabled her to make the move onto the big screen.
She landed several film roles in the late ’80s, included an uncredited performance in Kick or Die as Giselle. Her first TV appearance was a recurring role in Super Force in 1991. She continued to work guest starring in various TV Shows including, Murder She Wrote, Diagnosis Murder and Highlander as well as appearing in movies and video games, before landing the role of substitute teacher/She-Mantis in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Since this time she has worked continuously appearing in several genre series like Babylon 5, Star Trek: Voyager, Xena; Warrior Princess and Stargate SG-1. More recently she has guest starred on NCIS, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders and Hawaii Five-0. Her work is mainly in movies and she currently has two upcoming movies, Vengeance which is in post-production and Dreadnought: Invasion Six which is due for a 2019 release.
When she is not acting, Musetta has a Qigong practice and is a certified Master of Medical Qigong Therapy and Medical Qigong Oncology.
