Bio

Kristy Swanson was born in Mission Viejo, California to parents teachers Bob and Rosemary, and has one older sibling, a brother, Robert who is a musician. Kristy first took an interest in acting at the age of 9, and soon landed her first job, which was a commercial for a doll house. This would be the first of many such commercials.

At 13 years old she left school to focus on an acting career.

Joining the The Actors Workshop, she landed her first TV role in 1984, in It’s Your Move. In 1986 she got her first feature film roles in Pretty in Pink and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

Since this time she has rarely left the screen appearing on such TV shows as Knots Landing, Just Shoot Me!, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, One Tree Hill and Psych as well as a string of movies.

When not acting, Kristy is an avid golfer and as a line of ladies golf wear and accessories, aDRESSitGOLF.

She is also the co-owner (with her husband) of Paces Hocley,

Her father, Bob Swanson, a former physical education teacher, played the referee in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
