Speaking to The Wrap at the HeForShe Media Summit in Los Angeles recently, Joss revealed that his new project was “a story about a girl who goes through some unbelievable shit. It’s an original screenplay that is very different from everything I’ve ever done except for that it’s exactly the same. If I could just get a little more traction on that third-art issue.  It’s the first time in my life I’m writing without a sort of studio audience rating – without a plan. I’m just writing about something I care about, so it’s a little terrifying and it’s taking a little longer. But I think it will be good!”

Joss was honoured for his work on behalf of women’s rights at the event.
