Sarah Michelle Gellar appeared on Canada’s Global News The Morning Show to chat about Quarantine, homeschooling and watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer with her kids….

“She’s amazing,” Gellar said of her longtime friend. “It’s funny, my husband [Freddie Prince Jr.] always says that you always learn better from your friends than your spouse. He’s this amazing chef but I never learned from him, because I get so nervous and frustrated and he gets frustrated with me. I’ve learned so many recipes from Shannen during quarantine, because she’s much more patient with me in the kitchen.”

“Kids go to school and they have professionals who are there to see that stuff and we count on that, but there is a difference when you know your own child inside and out,” Gellar continued. “You have to go with your gut as a parent. I think that’s the best advice I’ve ever learned. You know your kid.”

“I was fascinated by the idea that, through social media, is how we live our lives these days,” Gellar, whose character, Anne Porter, is a mommy blogger in the novel. “We make all of our assumptions about how people are thinking, feeling and how we validate ourselves through the lens of social media. But no one’s using that as a storytelling device. Why not?”
