Sarah Michelle Gellar will star in and executive produce a new limited-run series from Ellen DeGeneres’ company, A Very Good Production, and Warner Brothers. Sometimes I Lie is based on a novel by former BBC journalist Alice Feeney and tells the story of Amber Reynolds (Gellar) who “wakes up in a hospital unable to move, speak or open her eyes. She can hear everyone around her, but they don’t know she can. Amber doesn’t remember what happened, but she has a suspicion her husband had something to do with it.” The story is told by time hopping from the present to the week before the accident and via childhood diaries.
