Sarah Michelle Gellar has confirmed that she will reprise her role as Kathryn Mertueil in NBC’s forthcoming pilot based on the 1999 movie Cruel Intentions.

The TV Show will pick up the story 15 years after the end of the movie and will focus on Kathryn as she “vies for control of Valmont International”. The pilot was written by the writer and director of the original movie, Roger Kumble in collaboration with Lindsey Rosin and Jordan Ross.
