Natalia Cordova-Buckley has been cast as Elena Rodriguez in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Her character is described as “a street-wise Columbian woman given Inhuman abilities”, and is based on Slingshot from the Secret Warriers comics.

In the comics, Slingshot can move at super speed and then snap back to her starting point and is nicknamed Yo-Yo.
