Laura was born in 1982 in Belfast, Northern Ireland where she attended Rathmore Grammar School. Moving to Glasgow to study drama she attended the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, graduating in 2004.
On graduation Laura landed several theatrical roles in both Scotland and Ireland before moving to London where she began her on-screen career. She first appeared on our screens in 2005 playing Beth in TV series, Sugar Rush. Since that time she has had recurring roles in series such as Hex and Merlin as well as regular roles on Missing, mini-series Beowolf: Return to the Shieldlands and more recently Outlander. She can next be seen as Mabel in Tolkein.
