Henry Simmons (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) has been cast alongside Joy Bryant (Parenthood) in Season 2 of OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network)’s Cherish the Day.

The series follows the story of a relationship with each episode taking place in a single day. Season 2 will tell the story of Ellis (Simmons) and Sunday (Bryant), who “fell in love in high school but find themselves reunited in beautiful New Orleans. Ellis is a former basketball player who is now a single father of two, and Sunday is a vegan celebrity chef on the cusp of fame.

Filming will begin this month in New Orleans for a 2022 premiere.
