Lionsgate and Comic-Con International are launching a new subscription based, ad-free video on demand service, Comic-Con HQ and have announced that they have picked up the second season of Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion’s web series, Con Man. Season two, which will focus on Wray (Tudyk) and his attempts to crossover from the world of B-movie sci-fi to mainstream success without alienating his old fans and former co-stars.
Season Two will begin airing in later this year, while season one will also move exclusively to Comic-Con HQ.
“Conic-Con HQ is all about capturing the spirit of the fan community, and in its own way, so is Con Man. Alan uniquely understands all sides of the fan experience and he’s captured it in such a farcical way that it’s as much parody as it is commentary around the power of fandom,” said Seth Laderman, EVP and General Manager of Comic-Con HQ.
“We are thrilled to be a part of the Comic-Con HQ family. For a series that was born out of a passion for the genre and support from the fans, we couldn’t think of a better way to connect with our community,” said Alan Tudyk.
