Alyson Hannigan has been cast in a pilot for the TV remake of the 1996 film, First Wives Club. The story revolves around three school friends who renew their friendship when one of their college friends dies. They find they are all at a romantic crossroads in their lives and get together re-bond over divorce, relationships and other life challenges.
Alyson will play Kim, an “English professor and aspiring poet who is struggling to put excitement back into her flagging marriage. After the death of her friend, she is glavanized to leave her husband and tackle life with a renewed sense of adventure.”
Paramount Television will produce the pilot for TV Land, which will be written by New Girl writer Rebecca Addelman and produced by Jenny Bicks who is known for Sex and the City.
