“I think I probably had a hunch,” she says. “It seemed to me all the fun of summer, and everybody being outside and finally having some relaxed rules, caught up with everyone, because of the virus. I’m sad that people don’t get to watch it for another half year, but I wasn’t majorly upset because it’s important to look after people right now.”

“It’s tricky, everyone’s kind of on pause right now,” says Evans. “I will say Hollywood is slowly making steps in the right direction of going back to work. I have a few friends who are in productions right now and it’s a lot of overhead, trying to make sure they can work safely during this time.”

“It was serendipitous that it came out at this particular time. That was not a plan,” says Jackson.

It was six months of sitting in class and not getting up to do one thing when Joanne had said to me, “Although I think you can learn almost as much sitting and watching, you can’t learn what you have to unless you get up and act. You have to work today.” When I got up that first time, she saw something in me that not even I saw in myself. That day was the beginning for me. I knew I would do it for the rest of my life. I never thought I’d be successful like this, but I knew I found my home.

“I don’t take life for granted, I would love to live in a way where I leave very little behind,” she says. “I want my children to be able to enjoy the planet the same I have and I don’t know if they’ll be able to and I personally don’t understand bow people can have the mentality where it shouldn’t be a top priority.”

With Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s series finale coming up, Clark Gregg’s 12-year journey through the Marvel Cinematic Universe is over, at least for now – and what a ride it’s been. From helping kick off the MCU in Iron Man and getting a big-screen death scene in The Avengers to leading the members of S.H.I.E.L.D. for seven seasons on ABC, Gregg’s Phil Coulson has pretty much seen and done it all, and managed to become one of the most popular characters in the MCU along the way.

While it seems unlikely that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s final episode will actually be the last time that we see Coulson – hey, he’s survived worse – we took the time to chat with Gregg as he reflected on his time in the MCU, and discussed a little bit about what he;s doing next. Here’s what he had to say.

“This is the most intense film – physically and emotionally – that I’ve ever done but it is also the most rewarding because it felt like we were achieving something special.

“Even though I was exhausted at the end of every day, there was a real sense of accomplishment.”
